County Services PDF Print E-mail

River Bend Transit provides door-to-door transportation to elderly and disabled rural residents and to the general public in Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine and Scott counties Monday-Friday.

RBT’s vehicles – equipped with lifts or ramps to assist entry – are operated by courteous, experienced drivers who specialize in serving people with disabilities.

Each day of the week, this service operates in a different portion of the county. For that reason, riders must plan their trips for that one day of the week when the vehicle comes to the area where they live. The service day in their area is the same each week, but the time that the vehicle picks them up may vary.

RBT also takes riders to the University Hospitals and Clinics, or to other Iowa City destinations, and returns them.

For a pick-up,
[c]ontact the RBT dispatchers.

(A note on fares: Because RBT receives some funding for Clinton, Muscatine and Scott counties through the Generations Area On Aging “Older Americans Act,” The fare in these counties is a suggested donation for 60+ or riders with disabilities.)
